Default My Cider/Wine

I bought 4 gallons of fresh, unpasteurized apple cider this past weekend. I want to brew up the following, anyone with any wisdom please chime in!

4 gallons cider
1lb corn sugar
WLP830 starter

NOW, since it is unpasteurized I had the idea of dumping all of the cider and sugar into my keggle, heating it to say 150F for about 15 minutes or so, then chilling and pitching. Sound good?!?!

Why 150f for 15 minutes?

You may have more luck in the cider forum

Bought some campden, got some corn sugar... I wanted to use WLP380 on my cider, but of course my LHBS has NO wheat beer yeast in house... so I am using some saved WLP300 which I am making a cider starter for as we speak... wish me luck!

BTW, my cider alone comes in at 1.045 on the hydro-meter... I am adding 1lb of corn sugar to 4 gallons of cider. That should bring the OG to 1.055...
