It worked for me. I had to crimp the closure on it to make sure I got a tight seal on the two halves of the stainless mesh, but other than that, it's fine. I took a sample out of the keg a few weeks ago and no hop particles and the beer is clear. (mighty tasty too).

I left the dry hop in my IPA keg from the moment I racked the beer in to when the keg was kicked (9 weeks). The hop aroma peaked at about 2 weeks but held nicely all the way through. So, empirically, I can suggest not to worry about removing your hops.

I put the dry hops and a stainless steel drain plug in a sanitized drawstring nylon bag and TIE IT CLOSED (learned this the hard way) and drop it in the keg. When I want to take the hops out, I fish them out with a sanitized metal hook.

I just bag the hops and fish it out with a hook I made out of one of those wires used for hanging suspending ceilings. Some of my kegs have hooks inside to attach the bags. That works too.

I was looking at one of those, but it didn't look like it could hold a whole ounce of hops. Can anyone tell me how much you can cram in there?

I have a large one and it holds 1 ounce without a problem.
This is a 3" one that goes for $3.73.
