Default Just Completed my First Cold Crash...

...and OH MY GAWWWWWD. I have been Home Brewing for over 15 Years, and I have NEVER seen this much Trub and other Filterable gunk in the bottom of a Secondary as I do right now. Unreal how much stuff fell out of the Beer.

Past 5 or 6 batches I have been having a Cloudy Beer problem. First of all, when you forget to add the Whirlflock, it doesn't help. Also, I have not had a Hard enough Boil. The Beer I am Kegging right now is one of those batches. Here's to hoping that the Cold Crash will help a little bit with my Cold Hazy Beer.

You could try Gelatin finings and get even more trub drops.

My Kegerator was Empty. So I threw my Carboy into it a 34 Degrees for a Couple of Days.

I accidentally froze one batch (twice... don't ask) and the beer was outstanding.

34 degrees seems a little low, I mean isn't 32 freezing.

Not for alcohol, beer is closer to 28F.

I'd also be interested in knowing a few things, which prevents me from cold conditioning my own beers. Do you bottle? If so, did it carbonate normally? (Also, if you had used gelatin finings in conjunction with cold crashing would it have carbonated sufficiently?)

Never cold crashed myself but from the numersous threads ive read...Yes, Yes, and yes.
