Default How to make Pumpkin Beer in a Pumpkin

Brewing Pumpkin Beer in a Pumpkin

Definitely a creative way to make pumpkin beer. Though I'm not sure I'd want to drink pumpkin beer it certainly seems popular.

That's great. I wonder if it would spontaneously ferment without pitching any yeast?

Not sure if this is the same one I saw a few years back, but it's a cool thing to do regardless.

Elysian Brewing in Seattle does a pumpkin festival every year and one of the highlights is tapping a pumpkin full of beer. In their case, they just use the pumpkin as a secondary/cask.

I saw someone here did this and the pumpkin rotted I think or started to smell. Not sure if the beer was salvaged though. Could do a search and find it.

May have to wait a while; where are you going to get a pumpkin now?

I don't think a day goes by on this Forum where I'm not completely floored by man's ingenuity when it comes to making beer.
