Default High mash temp

Hey guys,

I mashed in and my temp was way too low so I heated it up my mash tun. I was using three terminators and was getting different readings so i was confused. If my mash tun got to over 170 and then i brought it down to 152, does the enzymes still dont work? Or will they start to then? Cause my wort is sweet deff feels like it converted

Thanks

170+ stops the enzyme action so if it stayed above that for any amount of time there may not have been conversion. Chances are it dropped fast and you'll just have a sweeter beer.
