I do reuse yeast from time to time, but I'm pretty sure the DIPA had a fresh vial made into a starter. I use paint strainer bags and dump them into a bowl of sanitizer.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm having second thoughts that the DIPA is actually infected. I tried it again with a clean palette and although it's not a good beer, I don't think it's infected.

The pale ale was definitely infected. I'm hoping it's just that keg now...so I'm going to go Mr. OCD clean on that keg.
