Default froze my yeast

So long story short I had my wyeast in the freezer.....after it had been activated/smacked. I was going to have it in there just a short while and forgot. Left it in over night. Very frozen today. When it defrosts will it still be good?

Some cells may have survived the only way I would trust it is to make a starter to see .

If the wyeast packs have swollen back up over the day as it defrosted and when I shake them I hear the little yeasties bubbling do you think its ok?

I don't know. I wouldn't bet on it. You may have lost many of the cells. You'd probably have to make a starter to ensure viability.
