first starter question
I have followed the wiki instructions for making a starter. After boiling the wort(10 min), I was left with either some undissolved DME or maybe its hot break material that settled out. do I pitch on top of this sediment, or should I remove it before pitching?

Ya you can pitch on it, Its just DME chunks that didn't get stirred well enough, Just cool and pitch it will be fine.

thanks for your quick reply RICLARK. Now I don't have to worry about wasting yeast.
