Default Filtering out crap from secondary

Many moons ago i made a brown ale that i secondaried along with some cacao nibs. Being the new brewer i transferred this into a keg hoping for the best. It turned out that the nibs clogged my dip tube. Fool me once...

So here i am in a similar situation but before i attempt to transferring this beer into the keg im wondering if anyone does something to prevent crap from secondary to enter into the keg.

If I add something to secondary, whether it be nibs, hops, fruit, or even coffee grounds, I secondary in a carboy. My glass carboys have a raised center on the bottom so most of the crap piles on the side. Then I will put my autosiphon, wrapped in a paint strainter bag, right on the raised center portion. Works like a champ everytime.
