Default Fermentation Temps

How crucial are fermentation temperatures? Is a beer going to be totally jacked up if it is fermented at 10^F more than it is supposed to be?

Fillmaff

Kegged: Irish stout

Primary: Sunsplash pale ale

Depends on the style of beer and the yeast you're using. Some yeasts will produce off tastes at too high temps that can be overwelming. All wouldn't be lost however, as aging will often time reduce the off flavors.

It would depend on the style you did. What style are you making? A darker beer shouldn't matter as much as a lighter one. With the lighter styles, you may notice some off flavors. That is, unless you are making a wheat beer. The "off" flavors are usually what you are after in these.
Cheers

Default Sunsplash pale ale

Sunsplash pale ale is what im making. It says to secondary for 3-4 weeks at 50-55. Think 2-3 would be ok at 70?
