Default Different bottle/kegging time for one batch

Hi guys,

I was wondering if somebody has experience with using up one batch for different things. I was just thinking about this again and I am not sure if it was really the best idea I ever had.

On Tuesday night, I racked 3gal into my keg, put the airlock back in place and left almost 2gal in the carboy. I'm planning to bottle those at some point this weekend. I did not disturbe the yeast cake at the bottom nor was the carboy 'open' for very long. Do you think that makes a hell of a difference?

Thx for your thoughts to this.
