Default Boiled Water VS Purified Water

I have always boiled my city water for 15 min, put into gal water jugs and strored in the fridge until brew day. I was thinking about saving some time and try some purifed strore bought water instead.

Has anyone used the store bought purified water and had any problems?

Purified water? Do you mean RO or distilled?

As long as you know what is or not in it you can adjust it for the minerals you need. I use RO water for all brewing and add back to get what I need.

I've always used jugs of drinking/spring water from wally world for my brewing and have had no issues from it at all. Works great and since I do partial boils, I can put my top up water in the fridge to speed cooling of the wort.

I use the spring water from walmart as well. It's worked great so far.

Most batches I've done ended up taking on phenol tastes when using bottled water. I only do partial boils though, so I would top off with it too. After using my well water for the last batch, it was delicious.
