Default Blending a beer

I made a 5 gallon batch of an AG beer and used to much hops( to my taste). I was wondering what the least amount of hops that could be used in a new beer to blend with that beer. would be a low alpha hops around 3 -5 aa

The least amount would be zero.

You can make a brew with no hops if you wish. It depends how much you want to tone it down.

How long have you aged it for?

the beer i am blending has been ages for 6 months, i was under the impression that no hops would cause an issue because hops adds preservatives and helps fight bacteria.

think I will just do 1/2 oz saaz and 12lb 2 row

So do standard sanitisation precautions.
Hops help as do lots of other factors.
