Default Airlock stuck in carboy?

So I had a batch of apfelwein where I had to shove the airlock stopper down into the neck to the point it was just almost flush with the top of the carboy neck on my PET Better bottle.

Can't really take a screwdriver to it can I?

So I took a wooden skewer and carefully worked it into the side by twisting and pushing. Once the skewer was in between the stopper and neck it was just a matter of rolling the skewer around the neck as the stopper worked its way up and out without any scratches!

I gave myself a pat on the back and a sip of apfelwein for that!

Just wanted to share a trick.
