Default RO Water Help

Ok, I am going to get a RO system. I have been looking at a countertop unit. Any recommendations?

Also, are there any suggestions on electrolyte/salt additions to make to RO water for brewing. I know this will vary based on the beer style.

Thanks

I brewed with the small (5 GPD) GE units sold at Home Depot for a little over $100 for years. Only problem is that if you need 20 gallons of water you need to collect for 4 days.

Several posters on this and other forums seem to do well with the units made for the reef aquarium market.

As for mineral additions - that's a broad question. Guidelines to get you started are in the Primer in the Stickies here.

I got this a couple of months ago & highly recommend it. I also bought a couple of extra t-fittings, a ball valve, and tubing so that I can fill my PET 5 gallon water carboys in the basement, along with having awesome drinking water upstairs in my kitchen!
