Default Measuring SRM in home-roasted grain

Hey,

I'm just curious as to how SRM is calculated for grains, with respect to my home-roasted specialty grain. I work in a laboratory and have access to spectrophotometers with 1cm wells.

I know that the asborbance is measured at 430nm, but what is the calculation to convert that absorbance to SRM or EBC?

SRM = 12.7 * D * A430

12.7 = constant
D = 1.0 for undiluted sample; 2.0 for 1:1 dilution; etc...
A430 = the absorbance at 430 nm in 1 cm
