Default Lake superior water

I was wondering if anyone has gotten lake superior water lab tested. I plan to do this eventually but havent done so yet. I know it is very soft but am interested in more details about mineral conent and whatnot. Any insight would be appreciated while I wait till i can get it tested thx!

The only insight I have is that it is very cold. Even in July, August. I hope you are talking about water from your municipal water and not from the lake. If you send an email to the local water plant and request more specific info they will supply it to you, or you can send a sample to Wards. They actually have a test specifically geared to home brewers.

The brewer at the Vierling uses Marquette City water. You could check with him and see the specifics.

You could contact Fitger's in Duluth, MN. I'm not sure how they treat it, but Lake superior is their water source.
