Default Crushed Acidulated Malt

What's the shelf life on this stuff? My regular LHBS doesn't carry it, but another shop I can get to occasionally does (and of course I could also order it online).

So if I got a pound or 2 of the grain crushed, and then parceled it out over several batches over the course of several months, would it lose anything important?

I buy it in the sack and only use a couple of pounds per brew so a sack lasts a long time. But it is stored in a gamma seal container (Vittles Vault) and it is not crushed. Under those conditions it will last for years. The only thing I don't like about your plan is trying to store it crushed which exposed the interior to moisture, mold, etc. That would shorten the storage life appreciably. Perhaps you could buy it whole in vacuum sealed packages and 'grind' it with a rolling pin or hammer or even a food processor.
