You're right. While the implication was there that the reaction is very fast it was not explicitly stated that it was. I use the past tense because that has been fixed now. You get a silver star for pointing this out.

Thanks for the added assurance David, because I just bought some Campden tablets and they don't look the easiest thing to cut into a 1/4. I'm definitely gonna try to cut it accurately but I will probably end up slicing my finger trying to cut these suckers.

Again I suggest people read the Sticky where it tells you how to use fractional tablets without cutting them up.

Pick up a pill cutter at your pharmacy for a couple bucks. Your grabbers will thank you.
