Any fellow brewers in Union County, NJ get a water report?
|
|
Hey guys,
I'm trying to save a couple of bucs and was wondering if any fellow homebrewers in Union County, NJ have a water report they could share with me. Thanks.

Who's your water company? Have you checked with them yet?

I'm sure you have the same water company as me (NJ american water) formerly Elizabethtown.
The problem is the variable sources:
Your water comes from a public community water system consisting
of 129 wells, 7 surface water intakes, 1 purchased ground water
source, and 6 purchased surface water sources.
Source water comes from Millstone River, upper Potomac-Raritan-
Magothy (PRM) aquifer, Raritan River, middle PRM aquifer, Delaware
& Raritan Canal, Brunswick aquifer, and The Stockton Formation.
Water is purchased from Elizabeth Water Dept., South Brunswick,
Newark Water Co., Monroe Twp., Flemington Water Co., and
Franklin Twp.
I had my water tested at ward labs about a month ago but who knows what it would be year round. Check out Bobby M's Water Adventure thread.

My water company is American Water. They have a water reports on their site but nothing about Ph, calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate. Though it does say they use Chloramine and Cholrine.

Hey man, I know the thread is old but I just found out that Linden is on my exact water system. I'm trying to build a database on the whales site:
WHALES NJ Water Database
