Default Roeselare Blend starter

Hi all,

Just wondering if folks make a starter with Roeslare when using it for a Flanders Red or Oud Bruin.

no, doing so will throw off the blend. Exposure to oxygen can also kill pedio, so its best to add directly to the fermentor, and provided its fresh nothing else is needed. If the pack is a bit old, two are advisable along with a half sachet of dry yeast

How old would you say is too old?
