Default Sycamore Oatmeal Porter (AG)

Sycamore Oatmeal Porter

Beersmith File HERE

Type: All Grain
Batch Size: 5.15 gal
Brewer: Brrman
Boil Size: 7.13 gal
Boil Time: 60 min
Equipment: Brew Pot (10 gal) & 65qt Coleman Extreme Cooler

Taste Notes:
Woodsy taste of the fuggles is pronounced at first but dies off quickly to leave mild chocolate and coffee flavor in a British style porter. Dark to almost black in color, healthy milky mouth-feel. This is a house beer that my wife demands be on tap nearly at all times. I have made this half a dozen times without changing the recipe and anyone who tries it loves it (Even my BMC drinking Father in law).

I let them thaw a good amount so that I can mash them up in the bag. Then just dump it in and rack on top.

Freeze blueberries (important step), mash them up as they thaw in the bag, then plop them into the secondary when they are mushy enough, but not totally thawed. Then rack on top of that. Simple as that.
