I was guessing it would be a little more sweet than it is which I am happy with. The roast is on the lighter side which I think is what helps balance out the sweetness. I notice more bitterness from the roast of the coffee and chocolate malts than from the hops. I think the balance is what I am appreciating the most right now as I brew a lot of beers that are skewed way in the favor of the hops.
