Default Yeast Slurry.....?

If you reuse yeast from a beer that was of a smoked style, would this yeast cake or slurry carry over some of the smoked characteristics in it to what you use it for next batch.....?

If you use the whole yeast cake, then perhaps, sure it could - probably only in a minor capacity though.

If you use Yeast Washing technique, then I would suspect that it would not transfer the flavor.
