Default Winter Brew Recipe - Need Opinion

Was looking for opinions on whether this sounded like a good Winter Brew recipe:

7# Amber Liquid Malt Extract
1# Maris Otter Base Grain
1# Crystal 90 Lv.
1# Honey Malt
2 oz. Nugget - Bittering
2 oz. Crystal - Flavoring
White Lags Cali Ale Yeast

Want to make something strong with a hint of sweet but without going the pumpkin pie spice route.

I would reduce the honey malt to 4 ounces or so - just my personal preference. You might add some dry extract - I would bump the OG into the 1.060 - 1.070 range.

Reduce the Nugget hops to 1 ounce (or less). I got 92 IBU's when calculating for 2 ounces.

How much DME do you think? Would a different hop be better than Nugget?

Nugget makes a fine bittering hop, but two ounces is way too much. Even an ounce is pushing it.

Like mulilated1 wrote, Nugget is fine - just don't overdo it. Use 1/2 ounce to 1 ounce at 60 minutes. Then add the Crystal hops with 10 to 20 miinutes left in the boil.

Beer: Winter brew
Type: Partial mash Size: 5.5 gallons
Color: 39 HCU (~18 SRM)
Bitterness: 32 IBU
OG: 1.057 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 5.4% v/v (4.2% w/w)

Grain:
1 lb. British pale
1 lb. Gambrinus honey malt
1 lb. American crystal 90L
Mash: 50% efficiency
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.048 6.5 gallons
7 lb. Amber malt extract
Hops: .5 oz. Nugget (12% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Crystal (4% AA, 15 min.)
