Default What is the final verdict on oats? Add them directly to mash or cook them first?

Personally I grind them fine and boil them for an hour and add this to my mash at dough in. I just bought a few big cans of quick oats and I am really wishing to just dump one of them in my next oatmeal stout with no cereal mash!

Awesome. That is what I was hoping to here. Is there any efficiency or flavor advantage to conducting a cereal mash?
