Default Whaddya think - English IPA

5 lb Dry Light Extract
.25 lb Maltoferm 10000 Liquid
.05 lb 2-row Chocolate Malt
.1 lb Smoked Malt
.25 lb Victory Malt
.25 lb Belgian Cara-Pils
.5 lb Corn sugar (plus another half pound for bottling)

Hops
Bravo (15%) .75 oz 1 Hour
Brewers Gold (9%) .5 oz 15 min
Styrian Goldings (6%) .5 oz 1 min
Tettnanger (4.5%) .5 oz 1 min

Wyeast British Ale II

What do you guys think of this relatively non-traditional English IPA? Beertools tells me 50 IBU, 9 SRM, 1.06 OG and 1.01 Terminal.

I wouldn't use smoked malt and chocolate malt, and certainly not half a pound of sugar for carbonation.

Good catch on the corn sugar - I usually use cups as a measurement when it comes to bottling with it so it just slipped my mind.

I think smoked malt will give it a special character. Shouldn't be too strong or?

Hmmm... why no chocolate malt? I'm only including it for color, I've never used it before but the guide said it had little flavor contribution. I want this to be quite dry and not very malty.

Also what do you think about Wyeast British Ale II for this?
