Default Very few varieties of hops?

Take a look at the percentage of crop acreage represented by only a few varieties of hops grown in the Northwest. This can't be a good thing for those of us who like to try new and unknown hop styles!

Craft brewing is a drop in the BMC ocean and homebrewers are an amoeba in that drop.
We don't need many acres to meet the need for variety.

Remember one unassailable statistic, as explained by the late, great George Carlin: "Just think of how stupid the average person is, and then realize half of them are even stupider!"
