Default Vanilla Beans for Vanilla Bourbon Imperial Porter

Check what I came across on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4439324760&rd=1&sspage name=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

He even includes the Recipie for Denny Conn's Bourbon Imperial Porter.

I bought some Vanilla Beans from this guy already and they are amazing. Nothing like the garbage at the store. Going to try them in this recipe.

I will keep you updated.

I doubt you're going to get a response, looks like he hasn't been on in more than a year.

I've had good luck with the vanilla beans from Penzeys, their prices aren't bad either.

Any other common places to get whole vanilla beans? I found a website TopVanillia.com that seems to have good prices but ??? Quality ???

Any tried and true places?

this is where i got mine...great madagascar beans, cheap, and they give you free extra tahitian beans depending on how much you spend. buy a bunch and once you open the package, vacuum pack for later. they lasted me a couple of years

Thanks Dirty, Just got a bit of the Madagascar and a sampler pack. I will have plenty for the beer and I will try making some extract as well. So instead of making the vanilla toffee brown ale this weekend I think I am going with an imperial IPA...maybe a double batch weekend if time goes good with the second batch being a smoked banana wizenbock
