Default Turkish Coffee Stout

Hello,

I was thinking of doing a coffee stout for my next brew, and wanted to add some spices that are sometimes used in brewing Turkish coffee (e.g., cardamom, clover, star Anise -- I typically only add cardamom when brewing Turkish coffee, but I know additional spices can be used).

Is this a horrible idea? How much should I add and at what stage?

Thanks so much.

I think it's an interesting idea. So I want to observe the process.

I can see a sweet/milk stout (sweetened with lactose) with a nice spice blend.

I was just talking to my girlfriend about brewing a beer like this! I was thinking about making a cold coffee extraction with some cardamom, etc. in it and adding it to the secondary? I don't think it would be a beer for everybody, but it sounds great to me! Though, before I do it, I think I may go and buy a stout, brew some turkish coffee and get a feel for the taste.
