Default Torrified Wheat = Red Wheat?

I make a pretty good wheat beer with the primary ingredient being red wheat malt ordered from Austin Homebrew. I tried to place an order of red wheat with my local shop, and the guy told me that torrified wheat is the same thing as red wheat. I'm a little skeptical hearing this. What do you guys think?

Thanks!

Im not completely sure if it is red wheat, But however if you use it A Protein rest is highly reccommended.

Torrified wheat is unmalted and "popped" like popcorn: http://www.muntons.com/homebeer/other-products/grain_malt.asp

Red wheat is a malted wheat made from a different wheat variety than white wheat:
http://www.specialtymalts.com/cargill_malt/descriptions.html

Based on this, I'd conclude they are not the same.
