Default Too Much Citra?

I've been wanting to brew a Citra IPA for a long time so I'm going for it this Wednesday. Does this seem like a lot?

Its a fair amount but not "a lot" and no where near "too much"

Skeezers zombie dust has a good amount more citra, in a ~1065 beer.

If you want "a lot" I'd at least double the aroma steep and double the 5 min. FWIW I never dry hop an IPA with less than 3 oz, if you want "a lot" I'd go 3 or 4 oz for dry hop.

A lot of people don't realize how much resinous dank/piney flavor you get with an all citra beer, which I have found is especially true of this years crop.

Not that it's a bad thing, I like it, but it's often not what people expect.

Obviously adjust the bittering additions downward if you have an IBU target. Count on whirlpool hops having a ~20% utilization for bitterness purposes BTW(roughly equivalent to a 15-20min addition).

Too much...never! I would decrease the amount of additions to like bittering, 20 or 15 min (2oz) and aromona (2oz+). Dry hop 3-5 oz

I like your number two. (crass joke bait) No really, I like your number two.

My only suggestion is to aroma steep for 60mins. Try to get it down to 120-130F as fast as possible and let it sit. My aroma steep method is flame out, recirculate two gallons through plate chiller and boom...the wort is 125F in less than 3 minutes. The longer steep lets the hops settle and increases the aroma significantly.

If you use an immersion chiller, maybe you can chill for 30 mins and let it sit for another 30. I've never used an immersion chiller and have no idea how long it takes you chill.

I brewed this up today and can't wait to see how it turns out. Only problem I had was a massive stuck mash and sparge, first time I've ever had one of thous and an extra long 2 hr 15 min boil. Even with thous issues I still hit all my numbers

If you brewed a beer with so much Citra that you died in a Ciraick haze, then it still wouldn't be too much Citra.
