Default Time to Improvise!

Today was the first day I've had time or money in about 3 or 4 months to brew. Also, it was my first batch since switching to all-grain that I NAILED my target OG. Color me a happy camper.

Save for one thing: The LHBS was completely out of lactose. There was no way I was missing this chance to brew, so I figured I had one of two options.

A) my sweet stout becomes a (very) dry stout. Normally I would go for this, but when you're going for a milk/chocolate/hazelnut (nutella!) stout, dry doesn't seem like a good road to take
B) LHBS promises to have lactose in this week. I could boil a couple pints of water and throw the lactose in and add it to secondary -or- at kegging time.

Anyone see any problems with option B?

No problems with Option B. Lactose in not fermentable. You can add it whenever you want.
