Default storing grains

i have about 3 bags/types of grains, precrushed, that are left over from previous brews. as i'm only brewing one batch at time these days, the likelihood of using the grains up in subsequent batchs in a relatively short amount of time (month or less) is probably so i'm wondering what's the best way to store the grains. right now i have them all individually sealed in ziploc bags and all of those bags are in one large gallon size bag that is sealed, and they're sitting down in the cabinet tucked away. is this fine or should i be freezing them to increase longevity and/or maintain their best condition? i'm not sure if it would make much of a difference.
