Default Special B and Briess Extra Special Roast??

These sound very similar. I have and use Special B, but I'm curious about the Briess product. Has anybody here used it, and what's it like?

Two different malts and not similar. Special roast is more akin to biscuit and victory...a supercharged biscuit, so to speak.

No no, this is Extra Special Malt (sorry, not "Extra Special Roast"). See here.

My mistake. That must be a newer malt from Briess. I'm not familiar with it. I know that there victory is pretty much an American version of Belgian biscuit, so maybe they're trying for a version of Special 'B'...I'll have to defer to someone who knows something about it.

It seems like one step down form spacial B. The description sounds like the Malteries Franco-Belges Dark Caramel Munich Malt 120 that I have. It says it's for Dubbels on the 10 pounds bag I bought on Amazon.
