Never really been a fan of anything rye, but the other day a local bar had Harpoon's rich and dan's rye ipa and was pleasantly surprised. As usual Harpoon lists some stats on the beer on their website http://www.harpoonbrewery.com/beer/9...-Dan-s-Rye-IPA
anybody have any insight as to how the recipe might actually look? I really want to know what it is that I like about this beer and not other rye's.
It depends what characteristic you like in the beer. I like the spice rye provides. It also may depend on what the proprietor strain of yeast is that they use. I like to use a Belgian wheat strand with rye. Kind of tastes like pumpkin pie.
