Default Smoked Porter critique - first AG w/ smoked grains

Not my first ever AG batch as the title might suggest, but it's a 1 bbl batch so it has to be solid. I'd hate to dislike a beer when there's that much to be had! Please let me know your experiences with Smoked Malts and if you think there's too much or just right. C'mon goldielocks!!

55 lbs Smoked Malt (9.0 SRM) Grain 1 58.5 %
30 lbs Munich Malt (9.0 SRM) Grain 2 31.9 %
5 lbs Chocolate Malt (350.0 SRM) Grain 3 5.3 %
2 lbs Carafa III (525.0 SRM) Grain 4 2.1 %

--mash @ ~150* for 60 min

This is going to be REALLY smoky, along the lines of an aecht schlenkerla marzen in terms of smoke level, give or take.

In my smoked porter recipe I use about 30% smoked base malt and get good results. Strong, noticeable smoke, but not overpowering the entire pallet. I have been contemplating bumping up to 40% but I have not gone that high yet.

What volume is a bbl? Most of us deal in much smaller volumes and need to adjust to a 5 gallon batch. Assuming it is 31 gallons, that would give the following for 5 gallons:

8.75 lbs smoked malt
5.0 lbs Munich
13 ozs Chocolate
5.0 ozs Carafa
5.0 ozs Crystal

That will be smokey. It all depends on the malt you use and how much you (and whom ever drinks this) like smoked beers.

I've used 3 lbs of cherry and beechwood smoked malt in 6 gallon batches before and been very pleased with the results. I've used 4 ozs of peat smoked malt in 5 gallons and found that to be plenty.
