Default Smoked malts

What is your favorite smoked malt. Those smoked with peat or any kind, or wood??

Down here is New Zealand one of our native trees Manuka, makes an excellent wood for smoking everything from fish to chicken, I've tried using the malt smoked with it fro a German style Rauchbier. Result: Bloody awesome
