I ordered a couple of beer kits from morebeer.com. Great service, fast shipping all in all a great experience but when my ingredients arrived the yeast was a little warm to the touch and same for the hops. Afterall, I do live in the beautiful desert of Las Vegas and we don't have a local brew shop but back in Seattle they always kept the yeast in a refirgerator. So my question is, should I be worried that my yeast is dead and should not be used?
I'm sure it's fine. I live in New England and all my ingredients tend to take a week or more to arrive, so far I've never had a problem with yeast viability (I do order the cold pack but it is always completely melted by the time my package arrives).
