Recipes 

Money is tight for everyone right now, including me. So in order to maximize my brewing, I am looking for 2 recipes that share as many ingredients as possible. I prefer an ale. Any suggestions?

How about some english style beer?

A lot of them are mostly English Pale ale malt, a touch of crystal (sort of your choice) and maybe one other grain, EKG/Fuggle hops are easy to come by and make up the whole hop schedules for many beers.

Plus you can use some pretty inexpensive dry yeasts.
