Went in the pot last night!

1 lb flaked wheat steep (I realized this by itself was also useless)
6.6 Belgian pale LME from Williams Brewing (60/40 wheat / pale malt)
1 lb corn sugar
1 oz Saaz 60 minutes
1/2 oz Seed of paradise 10 minutes
1/2 oz coriander 10 minutes
1 oz bitter orange
yeast nutrient

T58 rehydrated in warm water

Pitched at 90 (it was late)
OG 1.055

Bubbling like a machine gun this AM.

My only thought is that if you truly did put 1/2 ounce of grains of paradise, you put between 7 and 14 times more GoP than most people recommend (assuming .5 ounces equals 14 grams). That is why LHBS's only sell it in 2 gram packs. That couldn't have been cheap. I guess I'd get ready for a pepper bomb, but I have a feeling you meant 1/2 of something else rather than an ounce.

I put in 0.25 oz of cracked GoP in my Wit and it turned out great. I bet 0.5 oz will be fine to fantastic. Only thing to do now is wait it out and see how it tastes.
