OK I brewed this, but put in 1 lb of the turbinado and a few tablespoons of molasses. I og was at 1.041, fg at 1.010. I bottled 3 days ago, I tasted it ... and yes I know it is still way to early to tell anything, but it was pretty sweet. Is this just because it is still so green, or did I just way under hop this beer? I've never tried a scottish before, so I'm not sure if it is supposed to be this sweet or not. Do you think that the sweetness will die down some with more time?
And yes I know, its still way to green to tell what the final product will be, but I have never had one of my beers taste sweet before.
