Anybody try brewing a Sam Summer clone with a grains of paradise substitute?
What's a suitable substitute, or is there one?

Or even, where can I get this stuff if my Local Brew Shop doesn't carry it?

Default Summer Ales

Sam Adams inspired me to create my own summer ale. I used a malt extract from my LHBS and a mild hop - Hallertau? I added an entire lemon zested with a cheese grader. The result is pretty nice. It's got a nice citrus / lemon initial smell / taste and a real mild mouth feel but the finish seems a little dry or soapy. It leaves your mouth dry and kind of chalky. I'm wondering if this is because I have too much lemon zest or perhaps I had another problem. It's been bottled for only a week now so maybe it will change over time. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks -
Paddy
