Here is the recipe for Ruddles Best from Graham Wheeler's book:

5 gallon batch

6.75 lbs. English Pale Ale malt (Maris Otter?)
0.5 lbs. White sugar
1.4 oz. Black patent malt
1.0 oz. Crystal 60L

0.70 oz. Northdown @ 60 mins.
0.25 oz. Brambling Cross @ 60 mins.
0.25 oz. Fuggles @ 60 mins.

0.4 oz. Goldings @ 10 mins.

0.25 oz. Goldings @ 0 mins.

OG = 1.037
FG = 1007
ABV = 3.9%
IBU = 35
SRM = 13.7

Mash at 151 F for 90 minutes + 90 minute boil

No idea what to use for yeast, but 1007 seems low. You'd need a really high attenuating yeast.

Never made it before, so don't know how close it is.

Hope this kinda helps
