Default Rose Hips?

Wanting to use rose hips in my next APA. I hear they will add a citrus flavor along with a little darkening. Anyone try this yet?

I added rose hips to the secondary of a saison this past spring and got both the citrus and reddish hue that you mention. I'd say the flavor was probably more apple than citrus, and slightly tart

The new souther tier beer, compass, is brewed with rose hips and its really tasty. I got a slightly herbal (in a good way) citrus out of it. Reminded me of a centennial dryhop aroma/flavor. Although the beer could be made with centennial... They dont say. I''ll never know why their beers are labeled "brewed with 3 types of malts and 3 kinds of hops." That's like saying this dinner is made with 2 kinds of meats and 3 kinds of veggies. I digress...
