Default Question About Washing Yeast

I racked my latest creation to the secondary last night, and had planned on washing the yeast, the first time I have ever tried this. However, before I could begin, a family matter came up, and I had to delay.
Since I did manage to seal the fermenter over night, is the yeast still good for washing, or has it been too long, and wait until the next batch ?

As long as you left a little beer on top of it and it's sealed it can last another week or so, but that's stretching it...try to keep the temp low at this time.

The only beer left on top was what I couldn't siphon off. I hope that's enough.

Default saving yeast

i usually sanitize a quart jar and lid while i siphon from primary to secondary and when the siphon is done i swirl the primary to loosen the yeast sediment then pour into jar and seal it with lid. then put it in the frig till i have the time to finish. has worked well so far.
note i wipe the rim of the primary bucket down with a cloth soaked in sanitizer and keep the jar sealed till i am ready to pour the yeast in
