I'm going to brew up a nut brown here soon and I would like to experiment with high percentages of special roast.

0.50 oz Williamette [5.50 %] (60 min) (First WortHops 9.1 IBU
1 Pkgs Nottingham (Danstar #-) Yeast-Ale
This is my recipe and I'm looking at 1 to 1.25 lbs of special roast. Beersmith says the limit is 10%. Right now I'm at 9.68 and a 1/4 pound more would push it to 11%.
So my question for everyone is; How much special roast have you used with good success?
I've never gone over 1/2lb myself, but please don't forget to report back after brewing this. I love special roast and am looking forward to your results. As a side note, don't use 2lbs of brown malt in a brown ale, ask me how I know!

I gotta tell ya, just between us girls, that Revvy is HOT. Very tall, gorgeous grey hair and a terrific smile. He's very good looking in person, with a charismatic personality... he drives like a ****ing maniac! - YooperBrew
