Agreed, not needed - but.......... I like to do a short (10-20 min) protein rest on my beers with a lot of Pilsner malt in the recipe. Not only does it help with clarity, but for me, I find it adds just a little extra body for what could end up being a thin tasting beer.
If it would be easy with your system to do the rest, then try it. If the extra steps/time would be a hassle, then don't bother. You will still get a fine beer.
