Default Priming with Granulated Maple Sugar

Has anyone ever tried priming with Granulated Maple Sugar? While heating the sugar to sterilize it smelled delicious and was used in a 1:1 ratio for carbonating my pumpkin beer. I'm also going to prime with it to amp up the maple flavor in my maple porter. I'll let you know how it goes

"Maple sugar is about twice as sweet as standard granulated sugar.[7]"

Default

It primed & carb'd just fine. However flavor only slightly noticable so nothing like i hoped. It's there though. I might break down and buy the capella flavor drops for ultimate mapleness. I crave this maple cream ale from vancouver im dying to replicate. Perhaps a lighter beer like a lager may do better with this maple sugar.
