Default Prickly Pear Fruit beer?

Anyone who has prickly pear fruit available to them ever try and do any sort of puree with these buggers in a beer/secondary? I searched here and saw a couple mead responses.

I thought about this as I was cutting down one of these cacti in my yard yesterday. Might try a 2 gallon batch this fall when the fruit comes into fold.

Sounds really interesting. I've had prickly pear sauce and liked it, but not beer. I keep meaning to do an agave nectar beer, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

That sounds like it'd be good. Where does one get agave nector?

You can easily find it online, but it's also readily available at the "gourmet" grocery stores like Whole Foods. Same stuff that makes tequila!
